چکیده
• The assumption that the target concept C∗ belongs to C (or that the target function f ∗ belongs to F ) means that we are trying to fit a hypothesis to data, which are a priori known to have been generated by some member of the model class defined by C (or by F ). However, in general we may not want to (or be able to) assume much about the data generation process, and instead would like to find the best fit to the data at hand using an element of some model class of our choice.
